Alan Gertner is the co-founder and CEO of Tokyo Smoke, a modern lifestyle business that focuses on coffee, clothing and legal cannabis.

A lover of technology, design and everything in-between, Alan is a proven leader in strategy and operations, including being a founding member of Google's first Global Business Strategy team in California. A former  Management Consultant at Oliver Wyman in New York.

Alan is creating incredibly thoughtful and deliberate interactions with cannabis - fighting typical stoner stereotypes and providing a thoughtful business approach. In his eyes there is no reason that cannabis can not be treated like fine wine, with an educated user base. With an increased focus on the storytelling and normalization process, Alan provides great insight into what is set to be a $+100 Billion industry, surpassing tobacco and rivalling the alcohol industry. Gertner raised $10 million in capital and led the company's merger with Cannabis Company Limited known as DOJA Cannabis in December 2017. The combined company known as Hiku Brands Company Ltd. is headed by Gertner and houses the cannabis brands of DOJA, Tokyo Smoke, and Van der Pop.

Tokyo Smoke was created to bring design, education, and emotion to cannabis. Through immersive retail and digital experiences and spanning multiple verticals to inspire creativity and touch hearts.
